Vivo unveiled the Vivo NEX 3S 5G smartphone in China. As the name goes, it is an enhanced version of the Vivo NEX 3 5G which was announced in China in September 2019 as its first ever 5G phone. While the design and many specs of the Vivo NEX 3S 5G are borrowed from last year’s model, it does come with some new features.
Vivo NEX 3S 5G Specifications
The Vivo NEX 3S 5G is a Snapdragon 865 mobile platform powered smartphone. The new chipset brings support for dual-mode 5G networks of China. The phone comes with 8 GB and 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and it comes in UFS 3.1 storage editions of 128 GB and 256 GB. The phone is equipped with the latest Wi-Fi 6 and it can connect with two Wi-Fi networks simultaneously.
The Vivo NEX 3S 5G has a notch-less 6.89-inch S-AMOLED that delivers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2256 pixels. The waterfall screen is extremely curved at the left and right edges because of which it offers a screen space of 99.6 percent. The phone is equipped with pressure-sensitive power key and volume buttons.
The NEX 3S 5G has a 16-megapixel sensor and LED flash in its pop-up camera module. The round-shaped camera module on the backside of the phone has a 64-megapixel main lens, a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom. The rear cameras of the NEX 3S 5G supports Super EIS video stabilization, 480fps full HD slo-mo videos and 4K video recording.
The Vivo NEX 3S 5G is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery. The device carries support for 44W fast charging. The zero-inductive soaking plate placed inside the device can effectively reduce the phone’s surface and internal temperatures by up to 10 degrees. The Android 10 OS along with FunTouch OS 10 comes preinstalled on the smartphone. The Vivo NEX 3S 5G lacks support for wireless charging, 3.5mm audio jack and microSD card slot.
Vivo NEX 3S 5G Price and Release Date
The Vivo NEX 3S 5G will go sale for the first time on March 14. Black, blue and red are the three color variants of the smartphone. The 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB editions of the NEX 3S 5G are respectively priced at 4,998 Yuan ($620) and 5,298 Yuan ($764).
