Vivo is expected to hold its next launch event in April. The rumor mill has claimed that the event will see the arrival of the Vivo Pad 2. There is a possibility that the company may also announce the Vivo X Flip as its first-ever clamshell phone with a foldable display. Recent reports have revealed a lot of information about the upcoming Vivo tablet. Now, a new Weibo post has revealed the key specifications of the Vivo Pad 2.
As per the leak, the Vivo Pad 2 will come equipped with a 12-inch LCD panel that will offer a refresh rate of 144Hz. The device will be powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset and is said to pack a large battery. The other details of the device are yet to be revealed.
The source said again that the Vivo X Fold 2 and Vivo X Flip will also come out in April, along with the Vivo Pad 2. The original Vivo Pad was priced at 2,499 Yuan ($362) at launch. Hence, it is likely that the Vivo Pad 2 may arrive with a similar price tag.
To recall, the Vivo Pad from last year offered an 11-inch IPS LCD display that offers 1600 x 2560 pixels, a Snapdragon 870 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB / 256 GB of internal storage, as well as an 8,040mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. It came with an 8-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera system on the back. It came preloaded with Android 12 OS and OriginOS UI on top.
As far as the X Fold 2 is concerned, it is expected to arrive as the world’s first foldable phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. The X Flip is expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.
