Chinese tech giant, Vivo, is set to release its latest tablet, the Vivo Pad 2, later this month. The same event will see the arrival of the Vivo X Fold 2 and Vivo X Flip foldable phones. In a recent Weibo post, Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, has leaked some key specifications of Vivo’s upcoming flagship tablet.
One of the most exciting features of the Vivo Pad 2 is its 12.1-inch LCD ultra-high refresh screen. The screen has a resolution of 2.8K+ and a refresh rate of 144Hz, making it perfect for gaming and multimedia consumption. The device has a 7:5 screen ratio, which will offer an immersive viewing experience for users.
Under the hood, the Vivo Pad 2 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset. The device will come in two storage configurations: 8 GB RAM with 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM with 512 GB storage. The high-end specifications make it clear that the Vivo Pad 2 is targeted towards power users who need a device that can handle their heavy workloads.
The Vivo Pad 2 is rumored to come with a fast-charging capability of up to 44W, which means the battery can be charged quickly and efficiently. The device is expected to have an all-in-one metal body, which will give it a premium look and feel. The tablet will come pre-installed with Android 13 and OriginOS for Pad, Vivo’s custom operating system designed specifically for tablets. The tablet will support accessories like a smart touch keyboard and the Vivo Pencil 2 stylus.
Vivo has not yet announced the official launch date or price of the Vivo Pad 2, but with the device set to launch later this month in China, it won’t be long before we find out. The Vivo Pad 2 is expected to be a major contender in the tablet market. It will rival the likes of the Oppo Pad 2, Xiaomi Pad 6, and Huawei MatePad 11 2023.
