Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo Pad 2 tablet. As the moniker suggests, it will replace the Vivo Pad, which debuted as Vivo’s first tablet in April 2022. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the name of the chipset that will power the Pad 2.
The tipster said that the Vivo Pad 2 will have the Dimensity 9000 chipset. It is the same chipset that powers the OnePlus Pad, which is expected to release in the global market in April this year. The OPPO Pad 2, which is expected to launch later this month in China, is also expected to feature the Dimensity 9000 chipset.
Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the other specifications of the Vivo Pad 2. It is likely that it will be unveiled alongside the Vivo X Fold 2, which is expected to debut as the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone, in April. The same event is also expected to see the arrival of the Vivo X Flip, which is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Here is a look at the specifications that were made available on the original Vivo Pad.
Vivo Pad Specifications
The Vivo Pad has an 11-inch IPS LCD screen that supports a 2K resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device runs on OriginOS for Pad-based Android 12 OS.
Snapdragon 870 is the mobile platform that powers the Vivo Pad. It is coupled with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For audiophiles, it features four speakers but lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.
The tablet houses an 8,040mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. It has a front camera of 8-megapixel. On the back, it has a 13-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper.
