Vivo is expected to launch the Vivo V17 smartphone in Russia and India soon. The Chinese manufacturer is also preparing to launch a new S-series phone in multiple Asian markets like Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand.
These markets will be receiving the Vivo S1 Pro as the advanced version of the Helio P65 powered Vivo S1 that was unveiled earlier this year. It appears that the Vivo V17 will be rebadged as Vivo S1 Pro in the aforementioned markets.
While Vivo Indonesia has jumped the gun to reveal the specifications of the Vivo V17 phone, Vivo Philippines has confirmed that it will be launching the phone in three days.
Vivo Indonesia has revealed that the Vivo S1 Pro has a 6.38-inch S-AMOLED display with waterdrop notch. It produces full HD+ resolution and is embedded with a Screen Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
The Snapdragon 665 mobile platform fuels the phone along with 8 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 128 GB. There is a microSD card slot onboard for more storage.
For shooting selfies, it has a front camera of 32-megaipxel. Its back panel is fitted with a diamond-shaped module which houses a 48-mgeapixel Samsung GM1 main lens and an 8-megapixel superwide lens. The 4,500mAh battery of the Vivo S1 supports 18W fast charging through USB-C.
