Vivo is reportedly launching the brand new Vivo S12 series smartphones in it’s domestic market later this month. Ahead of it’s launch, some of the alleged specs pertaining to the higher-end Vivo S12 Pro has apparently been leaked out by popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on the Weibo microblogging platform.
According to the latest information, the upcoming Vivo S12 Pro is expected to feature an OLED panel that offers a FHD+ screen resolution along with a high refresh rate. Just like the Vivo S10 Pro that was launched earlier this year, the new model is expected to retain a notched display in order to accommodate a pair of front-facing cameras which is rumored to include a 50 megapixels shooter.
On the rear side, the Vivo S12 Pro is likely to flaunt a triple-camera array which will be lead by a 108 megapixels main camera. Although there wasn’t any mention on the other two cameras, but they are very likely to be an ultra-wide and macro cameras.
Under the hood, the device is tipped to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset which is also used in the Vivo X70 Pro 5G (Review). This is definitely a step up from the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chip that was used in the preceding model.
Coming to the software side, it was also noted that the Vivo S10 Pro would be shipped with the new OriginOS Ocean UI out of the box. Likewise, it’s also believed that the phone will be priced at around 3,000 Yuan (US$471) in the Chinese market.
