Vivo S12 launch date has been revealed. The company will be taking off covers from the S12 lineup at 7:30 PM (local time) on Dec. 22 in China. It is speculated that the lineup has two smartphones such as the Vivo S12 and S12 Pro, which will be succeeding the Vivo S10 and S10 Pro that debuted on July 15 this year in the home country.
Shown here is a screenshot of a teaser released by the brand. It does not reveal anything on the specs and design of the phone. However, the Weibo post does confirm the Vivo S12 Pro moniker.
Vivo S12 Pro Specifications (Rumored)
The Vivo S12 Pro is expected to come with a curved edge display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh. However, a leaked poster that appeared yesterday revealed that it has a flat screen. Probably, the Pro model will have a curved screen, while the flat display might be available on the vanilla model.
The major attraction of the S12 Pro will be its dual selfie camera module that is housed in a wide notch. Rumors are rife that it will include a primary selfie camera of 50-megapixel. The back panel of the phone has a triple camera unit, which is led by a 108-megapixel camera. Probably, it will borrow the 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper and a 2-megapixel macro camera from the predecessor S10 Pro handset.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset will be powering the device. The handset may ship with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It may come with up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. While its battery capacity is not known, it is expected to arrive with support for 44W fast charging.
Update: Vivo has also confirmed that it will be launching the Vivo Watch 2 smartwatch alongside the S12 series on Dec. 22 in China.
