Vivo S21, S21 Pro display, chipset details leaked

Vivo unveiled the Vivo S19 series in May and followed it up with the Vivo S20 lineup in December last year in China. This year, it is expected to unveil the next-generation S-series models in May. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station released a Weibo to share the display and chipset details of the upcoming S-series Vivo phones.

As per the leak, the alleged Vivo S21 will feature a 6.67-inch OLED screen that produces a 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, it will feature the upcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. In comparison, the S20 features the same display and the older Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.

The Vivo S20 Pro has a 6.67-inch OLED panel and the Dimensity 9300+ chipset. The new leak suggests that its successor edition will retain the chipset but feature a much smaller 6.311-inch display with support for 1.5K resolution.

Considering that it will have a smaller display than the S21, it is likely that the company may call it the S21 Pro Mini instead of S21 Pro. If this turns out to be true, the S21 Pro Mini could be a cheaper alternative to the X200 Pro Mini, which is available for around ~$650 in China.

At present, the brand is said to be working on the Vivo X200 Ultra and the Vivo X200S. While the X200 Ultra will be the first X200-series phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the X200S could be one of the first phones to pack the upcoming Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset. Expected to break cover in May in China, the S21 series may face competition from the Honor 400 series and the Oppo Reno 14 lineup.
