Vivo S5 with Punch-Hole Display, 48MP Quad Cameras and Snapdragon 712 Launched in China

Through an unveil event this evening in China, Vivo announced the Vivo S5 smartphone. The salient features of the Vivo S5 include a punch-hole OLED screen, 48-megapixel quad rear cameras and Snapdragon 712 chipset. The handset has a starting price of 2,698 Yuan (~$385).

Vivo S5 Specifications and Features

The Vivo S5 has a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED full HD display with a punch-hole at the top-right corner. The phone offers a tall aspect ratio of 21:9 and it offers a screen-to-body ratio of 91.38 percent. The display of the Vivo S5 is integrated with an in-screen fingerprint reader.

The Snapdragon 712 mobile platform that has a 2.3GHz octa-core processor powers the smartphone. The chipset is coupled with 8 GB of RAM. The phone can be availed in 128 GB and 256 GB storage models. The Android 9 Pie OS customized with FunTouch OS 9.2 Ui.

The Vivo S5 has a 4,100mAh battery. The phone supports 22.5W rapid charging. The rear shell of the smartphone features a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 5-megapixel (depth assist) + 2-megapixel (macro) quad camera lenses and LED flash arranged in a unique diamond-shaped module. It has a front-facing camera of 32-megapixel.

Vivo S5 Price and Release Date

The Vivo S5 variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage cost 2,698 Yuan ($384) and 2,998 Yuan ($427). The pre-orders of the Vivo S5 begins from today in the home market. The phone will go on sale for the first time on Nov. 22. Star Black, Phantom Blue and Mint Green are its color variants.
