Vivo is all set to announce the Vivo S50 series this month in China. While the brand is yet to confirm its launch date, it has rolled out images to showcase the phone’s rear design and color options. Here’s a good look at the device and details that have surfaced so far.

The new images showcase the Vivo S50 in four shades, such as Confession White, Space Black, Serene Blue, and Inspirational Purple. The design is completely different from the S50 Pro Mini, which features a horizontal camera bar design like the iPhone Air.

Rumors have revealed that the Vivo S50 will feature a 6.59-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor and will run on OriginOS 6-based Android 16.
For selfies, the Vivo S50 will have a 50-megapixel camera on the front. Its back panel will have a triple camera setup including a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera.
The Vivo S50 has already been spotted on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and up to 16GB of RAM. The company has already confirmed that the device will be equipped with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It may house a battery of around 6,500mAh capacity with 90W wired charging support.
The Vivo S50 is confirmed to feature an aerospace-grade metal frame. For durability, it will have an IP68/69-rated body.
Vivo is also said to be working on the Vivo V70 for the global market. This phone is believed to be based on the Vivo S50, offering at least the same design and inheriting a few specs.
