Vivo is scheduled to announce the Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini on December 3 in China. A recent Weibo post from Product Manager Han Boxiao offered the first look at the phone’s rear layout and highlighted major hardware details. Additionally, he shared more technical details, giving strong clues about what global users might eventually see in the rumored X300 FE.

The Vivo S50 Pro Mini is fitted with a 6.31-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It houses a 50-megapixel front camera, and it is equipped with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor for security.
On the back, Vivo chose a pill-style horizontal camera bar, containing three lenses and an LED flash. The camera stack includes a large primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto unit tuned for optical zoom shots. It is expected to run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 in China.
The S50 Pro Mini draws power from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for faster data handling. A 6,500mAh battery backs daily tasks, with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. Additional features include dual speakers, X-axis haptics, an aerospace-grade metal frame, and IP68/IP69 dust-water resistance in a durable chassis.
Vivo X300 FE expected release timeframe
Reports have claimed that the Vivo S50 Pro Mini may launch outside China under the Vivo X300 FE name. If accurate, the expected global release could fall in Q1 2026.
