Although the Vivo S5 was only announced back in November last year, but a new report out of China has revealed that it’s successor – Vivo S6 – will be launched by the end of March.
Similar to the recently unveiled Vivo Z6, the upcoming Vivo S6 will also be a 5G-ready mid-ranger which will take on the likes of other mid-rangers including the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro.
Since it is a 5G-enabled phone, the Vivo S6 is likely to be driven by the latest Snapdragon 765G SoC or MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000L SoC. No doubt, the device will be offered with a pretty huge battery which comes with fast-charging support.
As a youth-targeting smartphone series, the device is expected to arrive with an intriguing design that conforms to the latest trends.
When the Vivo S5 was unveiled last year, it was priced at 2,698 Yuan ($384) and 2,998 Yuan ($427) for it’s 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB models respectively. Due to the significant upgrades we’re expecting to see on the upcoming Vivo S6, we do expect it cost at least 3,000 Yuan (US$432) at launch.
As of now, little is known about the Vivo S6’s specifications. However, we will certainly hear more about the device in the coming weeks.
