Following the recent launch of the Vivo Y21e smartphone, Vivo is now back with another Y21 series smartphone known as the Vivo Y21A in the Indian market. This model shares a largely similar design and specs as the rest of the Y21 series smartphones, except for the difference in it’s underlying chipset.
Right off the bat, the Vivo Y21A builds around a 6.51” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. For selfie and video calls, the phone also has an 8 megapixels front-facing camera housed within a waterdrop-notch.
At the back, the Vivo Y21A comes with a square-shaped camera module that houses a dual-camera setup comprising of a 13 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels depth sensor. A LED flash can also be found slightly below the camera array to help with low-light photography.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y21A is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset along with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with FuntouchOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y21A is available in both Midnight Blue and Diamond Glow color options. Sad to say, pricing and availability details of the phone has yet to be announced at the time of writing.
