In the past few months, Vivo has launched the Vivo V40, Vivo 40 Lite, and Vivo V40 SE smartphones in Europe. While the lineup also includes the Vivo V40 Pro, the company hasn’t announced it yet. It appears that India will be the first market to receive, as its landing page has gone official on the company’s regional website in the country.
The landing page for the Vivo V40 series highlights the key features of the Vivo V40 and its Pro variant. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3-powered Vivo V40 available in Europe features a 50-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultrawide) dual-camera setup on the back. This suggests that the camera specifications mentioned in the official teaser below belong to the Vivo V40 Pro.
The Vivo V40 Pro will have a 50-megapixel camera for selfies. The rear-mounted triple camera system will comprise a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary camera, a 50-megapixel lens for ultrawide shots, and a 50-megapixel IMX816 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
The Vivo V40 and V40 Pro will both have an IP68-certified dustproof and water-resistant chassis. Both models will pack a 5,500mAh with 80W rapid charging support. The standard model will come in three shades, such as Lotus Purple, Ganges Blue, and Titanium Grey, whereas the Pro model will come in blue and grey options.
Recently, the Vivo V40 Pro was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing revealed that the device has the Dimensity 9200 Plus chip, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 14. The new developments about the Vivo V40 Pro suggest that it could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S19 Pro, which went official a couple of months ago in China.
