Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo V40e smartphone for India. A new leak, courtesy of SmartPrix, has leaked the device’s key specifications and price.
Vivo V40e specifications (rumored)
As per the report, the Vivo V40e will have a curved-edge AMOLED panel of 6.78 inches. The screen will offer a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. For security, it will have an under-display fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo V40e is said to be powered by the Dimensity 7300. It is likely to pack a 5,500mAh battery, but the charging speed is not known yet. It is expected to ship with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. The phone will come preloaded with Android 14 and FunTouch OS 14.
It goes without saying that the V40e will be Vivo’s attempt at offering stellar photography experience at a reasonable price. The report states that it will have a 50-megapixel camera, probably backed by the Samsung JN1 lens. It may feature a Sony IMX882 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the back. Lastly, it will come equipped with an IP65-rated chassis.
Vivo V40e price (rumored)
The Vivo V40e is tipped to arrive in two options, such as 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. It is expected to be priced between Rs 20,000 ($240) and Rs 30,000 ($360). Other reports suggest that the V40e will make its debut in India later this month. It is expected to compete with the likes of the Oppo F27 Pro+ and the Oppo Reno 12 in the country.
