Vivo V70 series design and hardware details revealed

According to the official listing, the Vivo V70 series consists of two models, the Vivo V70 and the Vivo V70 Elite. The microsite highlights flagship-grade hardware, indicating that most of the showcased specifications belong to the Elite variant. The Vivo V70 Elite is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The series features an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Vivo has opted for a flat panel with rounded corners, giving the phones a modern and minimal appearance. The build includes an aluminium metal frame, and both devices carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

For photography, the Vivo V70 lineup includes a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus. The rear camera system consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, an ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens supporting 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

Powering the devices is a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. On the software side, the phones run Android 16-based OriginOS 6. Vivo has confirmed four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates.
The standard Vivo V70 was recently spotted on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. While its memory options are yet to be clarified, it is expected to share the same display, camera setup, battery capacity, charging speed, and software experience as the Elite model. The baseline storage configuration of the V70 series starts at 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage.
