Vivo X Fold 2 is confirmed to launch in April. Ahead of the launch, the brand participated in the Boao Forum in China. At the event, the company gave the first look at the X Fold 2.
The Vivo X Fold 2 can be seen sporting a red-coloured rear panel, which seems to be made from leather. The large camera module, which was made available on the predecessor models, have been replaced by a round one on the X Fold 2.
The predecessor models weighed 311 grams. The X Fold 2 is said to be an ultra-thin and lightweight device. While there is no word on its exact weight, it is likely to weigh under 250 grams.
The rear camera setup has three cameras and an LED flash. Rumors have revealed that it has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary camera, which will be powered by OIS and Vivo V2 ISP. The main snapper will be coupled with two 12-megapixel IMX633 cameras for ultra-wide and telephoto shots.
The inner foldable screen of the Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to support 2K+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. There is no word on the size of its front screen. However, both screens are said to be integrated with ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanners.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will power the Vivo X Fold 2. The device will arrive with 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device will boot to Android 13 OS, which will have a layer of OriginOS 3.0 on top.
The Vivo X Fold 2 will be backed by a 4,800mAh battery. The foldable phone will support 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
