Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is all set to launch two new devices in its X series this month in China. Among them, the highly anticipated Vivo X Fold 2, a foldable smartphone, is expected to be the showstopper. The launch date has not been confirmed yet, but rumors suggest that it will be unveiled alongside the Vivo X Flip and the Vivo Pad 2.
According to a recent leak by the Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X Fold 2 will come with impressive specifications. The device will feature an 8.03-inch foldable E6 AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1916 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and up to 1800 nits of brightness. Additionally, it will also sport a smaller 6.53-inch OLED panel on the outer cover with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1600 nits of brightness.
Under the hood, the Vivo X Fold 2 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with the V2 ISP, ensuring a smooth and lag-free experience. The device will come with a 4800mAh battery capacity and will support fast charging technology with a whopping 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The highest variant of the device may offer 12 GB of LPPDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The Vivo X Fold 2 is also expected to feature a durable and robust build quality. It will reportedly use an E6 material with a brightness of 1800 nits for the foldable screen and 1600 nits for the outer screen. The device will likely run on Android 13 out of the box, customized with OriginOS. It will weigh around 270 grams.
