Vivo X Fold 3 again tipped to launch by early 2024, periscope zoom camera tipped

In 2022, Vivo launched the Vivo X Fold foldable phone in April and its updated version, the Vivo X Fold+, in September. This year, the brand launched the Vivo X Fold 2 in April. At present, there is no information available on the existence of the X Fold 2+. It appears that the brand will directly launch the Vivo X Fold 3. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the launch timeframe and a key feature of the X Fold 3.

As can be seen in the above screenshot, the Vivo X Fold 3 will debut at the beginning of 2024. He added that it will be a thin and lightweight device, and it will come equipped with a periscope zoom camera. In all likelihood, it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is expected to debut in November this year.

This is not the first time that the tipster has talked about the Vivo X Fold 3’s launch timeframe. In the previous month, the tipster said that the foldable phone and the Vivo X100 Pro+ would debut together in Q1 2024.

Hence, it appears that the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro could be the only major announcements from Vivo planned for the remaining months of this year. Both models are expected to debut in November this year. These devices are expected to launch as the world’s first phones powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset.

Meanwhile, Vivo’s sub-brand is said to be working on the Z8 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. It is speculated that the Z8 will feature a 144Hz LCD panel, a Dimensity 8200 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery with 120W fast charging. The Z8x, featuring a 6,000mAh battery and 80W charging, is also expected to debut alongside.
