Android Rumors Leaked News Vivo

Vivo X Fold 4 key specifications tipped, only one variant incoming

Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo X Fold 4 for the Chinese market. Reliable leaker Digital Chat Station has revealed details about an upcoming foldable phone in a new Weibo post. He mentioned in the leak that the device will retain the wireless charging features, which suggests that he could be talking about the Vivo X Fold 4 / 4 Pro, as the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, launched earlier this year, supports wireless charging. Here’s a look at the other details of the phone leaked by the tipster.

To recall, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X Fold 3 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 onboard in China earlier this year. Apart from revealing the key specifications in the latest leak, the tipster also mentioned in the comments section of the Weibo post that there will be only one foldable phone from the brand this time.

While the device will be a successor to the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, there is no clarity about its final marketing name. Therefore, it’s unclear if the device will go by the name X Fold 4 or X Fold 4 Pro.

The new leak reveals that the Vivo X Fold 4 will have a round camera module equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera and a periscope telephoto snapper. Under the hood, the device will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (SM8750) chip and a huge battery of around 6,000mAh capacity.

The X Fold 4 will support wireless charging and offer an IPX8 rating. The device will have a thickness of 8.x mm, and its fiberglass variant is expected to weigh approximately 21xg. This indicates that the device will be dramatically thinner and lighter than the X Fold 3 Pro, which has a slim profile of 11.2mm (folded state) and weighs 236 grams.
