The Vivo X Fold was announced as the company’s first foldable smartphone in the first half of this month. Rumors are rife that Vivo is gearing up to launch the X Fold S foldable phone soon in China. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station tipped the key specifications of the Fold S.
The tipster claimed that the Vivo X Fold S will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The device will be backed by a 4,700mAh battery, which will carry support for 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The tipster added that the device will be made available in a new red color.
In comparison, the original Vivo X Fold featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a 4,600mAh battery, 66W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging. It was made available in blue and black colors.
The tipster has not mentioned anything on the other specs of the X Fold S. It appears that its remaining specs will be identical to the Vivo X Fold.
The Vivo X Fold has an 8.03-inch foldable AMOLED LTPO panel that offers a resolution of 1916 x 2160 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The outer display is a 6.53-inch AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the front, the X Fold S features a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear side of the phone has a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
