Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo X100 series of smartphones in the third week of November. The lineup will feature the all-new Dimensity 9300, which is expected to debut on Nov. 6. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed key information about the RAM type of the X100 series.
According to Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X100 series models will be equipped with the world’s first LPDDR5T memory. This memory will be available across the series, which indicates that the Vivo X100, X100 Pro, and X100 Pro+ will feature it. The new LPDDR5T memory is reported to deliver a 13 percent improvement in read speed compared to LPDDR5X RAM, which has been available on flagship phones released in 2023.
To recall, SK Hynix announced its LPDDR5T mobile DRAM in August of this year and has successfully completed performance verification on the Dimensity 9300 platform. Test data indicates that SK Hynix’s LPDDR5T is presently the fastest mobile DRAM globally, operating at a speed of 9.6 GB per second, surpassing conventional DRAM. With the inclusion of LPDDR5T memory, the Vivo X100 series is poised to become one of the most prominent Android flagship options by year’s end.
Currently, with the support of LPDDR5T memory, the Vivo X100 series will offer a new performance combination, featuring the Dimensity 9300, LPDDR5T memory, and UFS 4.0 flash memory. Notably, the Dimensity 9300 was recently seen with the highest-ever AnTuTu score surpassing the 2 million mark.
The Vivo X100 Pro+ is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. However, it is unlikely to debut in November, as rumors surrounding it have claimed that it will break cover in the first quarter of 2024. The November launch of the X100 series will also see the arrival of the Vivo Watch 3 smartwatch.
