Vivo had showcased the Vivo X20 Plus with under-display fingerprint scanner at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018. The smartphone has also recently received 3C certification and TENAA approval in the recent weeks. A recent leak had suggested that it would be launching with a pricing of 3,998 Yuan. Today the Chinese manufacturer has officially confirmed that it would be launched on Jan. 24
The above image confirms that the launch event of Vivo X20 Plus fingerprint screen edition will be held at 751D Park, Beijing, China on Jan. 24 at 7:30 PM local time. The smartphone will be featuring Clear ID FS9500 under-display fingerprint scanner by Synaptics. The fingerprint scanner can unlock the Vivo X20 Plus in just around 0.6 to 0.7 seconds. It can be not only used for unlocking the phone but also for authenticating payments.
The Vivo X20 Plus fingerprint screen edition will be featuring almost the same specs that are found on the regular X20 Plus. The upcoming smartphone will be packed with a 6.43-inch FHD+ resolution supporting screen, Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of native storage, Android 7.1.2 Nougat and 3,800mAh capacity battery. For photography, it will include 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup and a 12-megapixel snapper.
