Earlier this week, Vivo’s Product Vice President, Huang Tao, shared key details about the X200 Ultra’s camera. While the device is equipped with a triple camera unit, he hinted that the device would arrive with a secret fourth camera. Tipster Digital Chat Station suggested that this fourth camera would be an external lens that can be attached to the X200 Ultra for a more advanced photography experience. Today, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao shared more details about the X200 Ultra’s camera attachment.
Vivo X200 Ultra’s fourth camera details out

According to the Boxiao, the Vivo X200 Ultra’s fourth camera is a standalone super telephoto lens co-developed with ZEISS. Branded with the ZEISS Blue Label, the camera features a 200-megapixel sensor repurposed with a 200mm focal length and f/2.3 aperture, delivering a massive 8.7x optical zoom.
The lens system is structured using a 3-group, 13-element Kepler-style design with high-transmittance glass, boosting image clarity. It supports RMSC tech for an effective second zoom stage at 800mm (35x), and can digitally stretch to 1600mm (70x) with clarity similar to traditional 30x zoom systems.

As per reports, the X200 Ultra’s main camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-818 primary lens, a 50-megapixel LYT-818 ultra-wide, and a 200-megapixel Samsung HP9 periscope telephoto sensor. It supports 4K 60fps 10-bit Log and cinematic 4K 120fps video recording. The device will also leverage Vivo’s in-house VS1 and V3+ imaging chips—where VS1 handles intelligent image pre-processing and V3+ focuses on advanced post-processing—working together to deliver DSLR-like results.
This advanced system is complemented by the Vivo X200 Ultra Photography Kit, which connects via USB Type-C for low-latency performance and houses a 2,300mAh battery to support long shoots. The case includes a kickstand, retro-inspired design, shoulder strap, and a new dedicated button for video shooting.
