Vivo X30 Series Powered with Exynos 980 in December

In China, Vivo had held a dual-mode 5G AI chip media conference in collaboration with Samsung. At the meet, the company highlighted the features and 5G capabilities of the Exynos 980 chipset. The Chinese firm also confirmed Exynos 980 chipset powered with Vivo X30 series will be announced in December in the home market.

At the event, Li Haorong who is the senior director of the Vivo chip technology claimed that its collaboration with Samsung allows it to completely take advantage the capabilities of the Exynos 980 and even customize it according to the requirements of the consumers. The Chinese confirm did not reveal the specifications of the Vivo X30 series. There is a possibility that the X30 series will include Vivo X30 and X30 Pro phones.

The Exynos 980 is the first Cortex A77 architecture chipset to get mass produced. Vivo will be offering enhanced gaming experience on the Vivo X30 series with Vivo’s Multi Turbo technology and the Mali-G76 M5 GPU of the Exynos 980. The SoC is equipped with a 5G modem with dual-mode SA/NSA connectivity. It is capable at reaching highest download speeds of up to 2.55Gbps. With 4G and 5G working simultaneously, it can reach up to 3.55Gbps download speeds.
