Vivo X30 will be officially announced on December 16th

Vivo has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated Vivo X30 5G smartphone will be made official on December 16th.

In recent weeks, Vivo has been teasing much on the X30’s camera prowess which includes an incredible 60x digital zoom which will out it on par with the current OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. Besides that, the Vivo X30 is also said to be able to capture images that are equivalent to those shot by a professional camera with 50mm lens.

From what we’d learned so far, it’s quad-camera setup on the rear will consist of a main snapper, a dedicated portrait shooter, as well as a “Super telephoto” periscope lens which is able to support up to 5x optical zoom. The identity of the other sensor remains unknown but it could possibly be an ultra wide sensor.

One of it’s earlier promo video has revealed that the Vivo X30 will be arriving with a traditional hole-punched display with slim bezels along the two sides. There will be a total of 3 color options available namely Orange, Blue and Black.

During the 5G AI chip media conference last month, Vivo had already revealed that the Vivo X30 will be driven by Samsung’s Exynos 980 SoC which has an integrated 5G modem capable of supporting standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes.

Last but not the least, the X30 is also expected to be the first Vivo smartphone to run on their latest JoviOS according to reports. This will be the new user interface which will be replacing the current FuntouchOS on most devices in 2020.
