Vivo will be announcing the Vivo X50 series on June 1 in China. As expected, the Chinese firm is teasing on the features that will be available on the handset. One of the major attractions of the phone is that it will be arriving with an eye-like gimbal camera system that promises impressive stabilization while capturing videos and images. Today, the company released a new teaser video on Weibo. It seems to showcase the camera setup of the Vivo X50 or (Vivo X50 Pro) smartphone.
The video shows the main lens of the phone having capabilities to move around like an eyeball. Below it is two cameras and there is a separately placed periscope zoom lens at the bottom of the setup.
The text alongside the fourth lens reads “Pro” and “AI Quad Camera.” Hence, it appears that the handset with a gimbal camera could be the Vivo X50 Pro smartphone. The camera has a focal length 16 to 135mm and it is expected o support 5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom.
A Chinese tipster had recently on Weibo had recently revealed some details of an upcoming Vivo phone. It appears that he might have been talking about the Vivo X50 smartphone. He revealed that the smartphone has 6.56-inch punch-hole screen with a high refresh rate.
He added that the handset has Samsung’s flexible Full HD+ AMOLED screen. Probably, it means that the phone’s screen has curved edges. He also claimed that the phone will be arriving with a better front camera with a larger aperture.
The other specifications of the Vivo X50 series are currently under wraps. Hopefully, the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro handsets will surface on TENAA with entire specs in the coming days.
