After launching the Vivo X30 series last year, Vivo is now gearing up for the launch of the brand new X50 series on June 1st. Ahead of its unveiling, we’d already seen its design and learned quite a fair bit on its specifications. Right now, courtesy of the folks over at TechRadar, we now have some information pertaining to its availability as well.
Unlike the Vivo X30 series smartphones which are currently available only to the Chinese market, the upcoming Vivo X50 series is expected to be heading to the global markets. One of these markets will be none other than India.
No doubt, the Vivo X50 series will mark the Chinese smartphone maker’s return to the premium mid-ranger smartphone segment, and seems very much to be the direct competitor to the upcoming OPPO Reno4 series.
From what we’d learned so far, the upcoming Vivo X50 launch event will introduce at least two devices including the Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro. Both these devices share some differences in terms of their exterior appearance and specifications.
Although there isn’t much details pertaining to the vanilla Vivo X50 smartphone, but a recent leak had shed some lights on the specifications of the “Pro” model.
According to the leak, the Vivo X50 Pro is expected to be fueled by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G SoC. Its quad-cameras system at the back will be headed by a 48 megapixels Sony IMX598 main camera which will be accompanied a Samsung S5K3L6 portrait lens, an 8 megapixels Hynix Hi846 ultra-wide lens, as well as a 13 megapixels OmniVision OV08A10 telephoto lens.
At the front, there will also be a 32 megapixels selfie camera housed within a hole-punch compartment at the upper left corner. A 4,315mAh battery with 33W fast-charging will sit at the heart of the device.
