Although Vivo will be launching the latest X50 series smartphones in several markets on July 16th/ 17th, but the Chinese smartphone maker had already launched the much awaited smartphone series in Cambodia today.
As we know, X50 series consists of three different smartphone models. However, only the vanilla Vivo X50 and X50 Pro were announced as the X50 Pro+ was sadly omitted from the launch event.
Vivo X50 Pro
Let’s start off with the highest-end model – Vivo X50 Pro. This device features a 6.56-inches FHD+ OLED curved display with 90Hz screen refresh rate. It comes with a hole-punch design to accommodate its 32 megapixels selfie camera.
At the back, the Vivo X50 Pro touts a quad-cameras setup which include a 48 megapixels Sony IMX598 main camera coupled with a “gimbal-like” stabilization technology. This will be accompanied by an 8 megapixels periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 13 megapixels portrait lens.
Under the hood, the Vivo X50 Pro is driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage space. The device draws power from a 4,315mAh battery which carries support for 33W fast-charging.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo X50 Pro will be available in the Alpha Grey color option. It will be priced at US$859 (INR64,560) for its sole 8GB+256GB model.
Vivo X50
Moving on, we have the more affordable model – Vivo X50. According to Vivo, this device is so far the slimmest 5G smartphone which has a slim profile of just 7.55mm.
At the front, it comes with the same 6.56-inches FHD+ OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. However it will be a flat panel instead of a curved one. It will also continue to sport a similar 32 megapixels selfie camera on the top-left corner.
Over on the the flip-side, the Vivo X50 also has four cameras at the back comprising of the same 48 megapixels Sony IMX598 main camera. In the case of the Vivo X50, there wouldn’t be any “gimbal-style” stabilization as the device will employ a standard OIS stabilization instead.
As for the other three cameras, it will be an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 5 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 13 megapixels portrait lens.
Unlike the “Pro” model, the vanilla Vivo X50 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 730G which will be assisted with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. To keep its lights on, there will be a 4,200mAh battery which also supports 33W fast-charging.
The Vivo X50 will be available in two different colorways namely Frost Blue and Glaze Black. It will be priced at US$559 (INR42,000) for its sole 8GB+128GB model.
