Vivo X60 & X60 Pro expected to hit the global market with Snapdragon 870

Back in December last year, Vivo announced the much anticipated X60 series smartphones in the Chinese market. Now, it seems like the Vivo X60 series will soon be making its debut soon in the global market, after the vanilla X60 and X60 Pro are now listed on Google Play Console.

As expected, the global variant of the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro will come with some differences from the Chinese variants. More specifically, the global variants are actually powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset instead of the Exynos 1080 chipset which is found in the Chinese variants.

Other than revealing their underlying chip, the same listing also confirmed that the X60 and X60 Pro duo will be arriving with a hefty 12GB RAM and ship with the latest Android 11 OS out of the specs. In fact, the specs we saw here also coincide with the information listed on Geekbench recently as well.

Although the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro share huge similarities, but their main differences lie within their camera department, with the latter having an additional 8 megapixels periscope camera with 5x optical zoom.

As of now, the actual launch date of the X60 series smartphones is still a complete mystery. However, since both devices had already bagged several certifications across the global markets, we can expect them to be announced as early as March next month.
