Vivo had already announced earlier on that the company will be launching the next-generation’s Vivo X70 series smartphones in it’s home market on September 9th. Now, the company has further confirmed that it’s global launch will be scheduled a day later, on September 10th.
Although the official landing page of the X70 series smartphones didn’t reveal any additional information other than the phone’s design and photo samples, but we did know that the X70 series lineup will be offered in at least three different models including the Vivo X70, X70 Pro, as well as X70 Pro+.
Based on recent reports, the forthcoming Vivo X70 and X70 Pro are expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, while the X70 Pro+ settles for a flagship Snapdragon 888 series chip instead.
The higher-end X70 Pro+ model as usual, will arrive with a revolutionary camera system that features a quad-camera setup at the back. These cameras are tipped to include a 50MP Samsung GN1 main camera, 48MP Sony IMX598 ultra-wide lens with Gimbal-style stabilization, 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto lens, as well as an 8MP OmniVision OV08A10 periscope zoom lens that’s capable of achieving up to 60x digital zoom.
Apart from that, the Vivo X70 Pro+ will also continue to adopt Zeiss optics for it’s camera lenses and is said to be equipped with the company’s in-house Vivo V1 Image Signal Processing (ISP) chip.
On the software side of things, the Vivo X70 series smartphones are also expected to be the first batch of phones in the global market that run on the company’s OriginOS UI out of the box.
