Vivo X90S to Arrive with Dimensity 9200 Plus

MediaTek is expected to announce the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset either this month or in May. Rumors are rife that the iQOO Neo 8 Pro, which is expected to debut in May, will be the first phone to feature it. In a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that an X-series Vivo phone will also come equipped with the D9200+ chip.

As it is known, the Vivo X90 series includes three models, such as the Vivo X90, X90 Pro, and X90 Pro+. While the Pro+ model features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the other two models are equipped with the Dimensity 9200. According to DCS, the Dimensity 9200+ chip will also power the Vivo X90S.

The tipster said that the AnTuTu score of the Dimensity 9200 Plus is around 1,350,000. The new SoC will be an enhanced version of the existing Dimensity 9200 chip, which has a 3.05GHz Cortex-X3 prime CPU core. The X3 prime Dimensity 9200+ is expected to receive a performance boost, which will allow it to deliver better performance than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

At present, there is no information available on the specifications of the Vivo X90s. There is a possibility that it could be a Dimensity version of the X90 Pro+, which has remained exclusive to the Chinese market.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ has a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED LPTO panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The SDG2-powered device comes with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on Android 13 OS and OriginOS 3.0. It has a 4,700mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The device has a 32-megapixel front camera, an a 50.3-megapixel (main) + 48-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 50-megapixel (telephoto) + 64-megapixel (periscope zoom) triple camera unit.
