After announcing the Vivo Y17 back in April this year, Vivo is now ready to bring yet another member of the Y series into the market. Today, Vivo has officially announced the Vivo Y12 – a triple-camera smartphone with an affordable price tag of just Rs12,490 (S$244).
Vivo Y12 Specifications
The Vivo Y12 sports a sleek-looking design which features a waterdrop notch on its front panel that house an 8 megapixels selfie camera with AI Face beauty feature. It has a 6.35-inch Halo FullView display which has a 1544 x 720 pixels screen resolution and a 19.5:9 tall aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the device is driven by a Mediatek’s Helio P22 SoC alongside 3GB+64GB or 4GB+32GB memory configurations. On its rear chassis, the triple camera module consist of a 13MP (f/2.2 aperture) main snapper, an 8MP (f/2.2 aperture) Super Wide-Angle sensor, as well as a 2MP (f/2.4 aperture) depth sensor.
A massive 5,000mAh battery is available to support hours of continuous usages on the go and is touted to be supported by intelligent power-saving technologies which could further extend battery life. Software-wise, the device runs on the Funtouch OS 9 based on Android Pie. For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y12 will come in two color options namely Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red.
Vivo Y12 Pricing & Availability
As of now, the Vivo Y12 is available only in India and there is still no news if it will be heading to Singapore any time soon.
For its 4GB+32GB model, it will come with a price of just S$244. Although there is still no pricing information for its 3GB+46GB model, but we do expect it to cost roughly the same.
