In April, Vivo had launched the Vivo Y17 smartphone in India with a price tag of Rs. 17,990 ($260). Now, the smartphone has gone official in Taiwan. It has arrived with a price tag of NT$ 8,900 ($289). The smartphone comes in Phantom Purple and Sapphire Blue. The sales of the smartphone will begin on July 1.

The Vivo Y17 comes with a 6.35-inch IPS LCD display. The waterdrop notch enabled screen of the phone offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1544 pixels. The MediaTek Helio P35 powers the smartphone along with 4 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 128 GB. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage.
For shooting selfies, the Vivo Y17 has a front-facing camera of 20-megapixel. The rear shell of the phone has a triple camera setup with 13-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel lens for adding depth effects. The smartphone is equipped with photography features such as AI beauty, professional mode, slow-motion video shooting, HDR, portrait mode, panorama, background blur, palm photo and more.
The Vivo Y17 houses a massive battery of 5,000mAh capacity. It supports 18W fast charging through microUSB. The FunTouch OS 9 based Android 9 Pie OS is loaded on the Y17.
