Vivo has officially announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the Vivo Y20 (2021) in the Malaysian market which will be succeeding the Vivo Y20 which was announced earlier this year.
For starter, the Vivo Y20 (2021) features a 6.51-inches IPS LCD display which boasts a modest HD+ screen resolution. It retains the same dewdrop-notch design to accommodate its 8 megapixels selfie camera at the front.
Over at the back, the Vivo Y20 (2021) has a triple-camera system housed within a rectangular camera module. These cameras include a 13 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) primary shooter, 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) bokeh lens.
Unlike its predecessor which is powered by a Snapdragon 460 chipset, the Vivo Y20 (2021) will be driven by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chip instead. It will be assisted by 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep its lights on, there’s a massive 5,000mAh battery at the helm which comes with support for 10W standard charging. Other than that, the device also arrives with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y20 (2021) will be available in both Dawn White and Nebula Blue colorways. It will be priced at RM599 (US$148) for its sole 4GB+64GB variant.
