After launching the Vivo Y20 (2021) entry-level smartphone in several Asian markets, Vivo is now back with another Y20-series smartphone known as the Vivo Y20A in the Indian market.
This device however, shares lots of similarities in terms of design and specs as the rest of the Y20-series smartphones. The only notable difference between them lies in the underlying chip whereby the new Vivo Y20A is powered by a Snapdragon 439 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 460 found in the Vivo Y20 or the Helio P35 in the Vivo Y20 (2021).
Starting with the front, the Vivo Y20A brings along a 6.51-inches HD+ IPS LCD display which comes with a dewdrop-notch at the top that houses an 8 megapixels selfie camera.
On its rear, there will be a triple-camera setup housed within a rectangular camera island. These cameras include a 13 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) primary shooter, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) cameras for macro and depth information.
To keep its lights on, there will be a massive 5,000mAh battery which comes with 10W standard charging support. The Vivo Y20A is offered in a sole 3GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration, but its storage capacity can be further expanded via a microSD card.
On the software-side, the device will boot on FuntouchOS 11 based on Android 10 OS. It will be priced at Rs. 11,490 (US$157) in the Indian market.
