Vivo has unveiled the company’s brand new Y series smartphone – Vivo Y21 – in the Indian market which will be taking on the likes of other entry-level smartphones including the recently announced Samsung Galaxy A03s.
The Vivo Y21 features a 6.51” LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera housed within a waterdrop-notch.
Around the back of the phone, the Vivo Y21 sports a square-shape camera island which is home to a dual-camera setup that includes a 13 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels macro camera.
The Vivo Y21 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset which is paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Other than that, the phone also gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y21 is available in both Diamond Glow and Midnight Blue colorways, and is priced at INR13,990 (US$188) and INR14,490 (US$195) respectively for it’s 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB variants
