Vivo has officially announced a new budget-centric smartphone known as the Vivo Y30G in the Chinese markets. Although this device came with a largely similar design as the Vivo Y30 Standard Edition which was launched back in December last year, but it do brings along some decent upgrades along the way.
For starter, the Vivo Y30G features a 6.51” HD+ IPS LCD display which comes with a dewdrop-notch that houses an 8 megapixels front-facing shooter for selfie and video-calling purposes.
At the back, the device sports a rectangular camera island which houses a dual-camera setup comprising of a 13 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) primary shooter and a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y30G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card.
To keep its lights on, the Vivo Y30G draws power from a 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. The device is shipped with the latest OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11 OS. Other than that, it also brings along a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y30G is available in three different colorways including Black, Blue and White. The device is priced at 1,499 Yuan (US$228) in the Chinese market for its sole 8GB+128GB model.
