We have updated the article with the alleged pricing of the Vivo Y33s & Y21 smartphones
Vivo will soon be expanding it’s Y-series line up in the Indian market with a pair of new devices which include the likes of the Vivo Y33s and Vivo Y21. Though the actual launch date of the duo has not been revealed, but it’s tipped to occur next week.
Vivo Y33s
Starting with the Vivo Y33s, the phone is said to feature a 6.58” LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 90.6% screen-to-body ratio, as well as a 16 megapixels front-facing camera. It doesn’t have an in-display fingerprint scanner as it opts for a side-mounted one instead.
At the back of the phone, there’s a square-shape camera island which houses a triple-cam setup that includes a 50 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels bokeh lens for close-up.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y33s is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 chipset which will be coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card.
Keeping it’s lights on is none other than a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. On the software-side, the phone is covered by FuntouchOS 11.1 (based on Android 11).
According to tipster @Sudhanshu1414, the Vivo Y33s is expected to be priced at INR17,990 (US$242) for it’s sole 8GB+128GB variant.
Vivo Y21
Coming to the Vivo Y21, it brings along a 6.52” LCD display with HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 89% screen-to-body ratio, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera. Just like the Vivo Y33s, the Y21s gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
On the flip-side, the phone sports a similar-looking camera housing which is home to a dual-cam setup comprising of a 13 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up shots.
Unlike the Y33s, the Vivo Y21 is powered by a toned-down MediaTek Helio P35 chipset which is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can also be expanded via a microSD card. Moving on, the phone is also equipped with the same 5,000mAh battery that comes with 18W fast-charging support.
In terms of pricing, the Vivo Y21 is likely to be priced at INR13,990 (US$188) and INR14,490 (US$195) respectively for it’s 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB variants.
