Vivo is all set to announce the Vivo Y500 on Sept. 1 in China. This device is the successor to the Vivo Y300, which debuted in December 2024 in the country. So far, the official teasers have revealed the design and a few key specs of the device. A premature China Telecom listing of the device that surfaced today has revealed almost everything about it.

As per the China Telecom listing, the Vivo Y500 has a 6.77-inch AMOLED FHD+ (2392 x 1080 pixels) screen. While it is not clearly visible in the above image, rumours claim that the screen has a micro-quad-curved design.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y500 features the Dimensity 7300 (MT6878) SoC and an 8,200mAh battery. It will be available in two variants: 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB storage. The phone is expected to run on OriginOS 5-based Android 15.
For selfies, the Vivo Y500 will have an 8-megapixel camera on the front. Its rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary snapper. It will also come with other features such as NFC and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The polycarbonate-bodied Vivo Y500 will measure 163.10 x 75.90 x 8.23mm and weigh 213 grams. It will be available in three colours: Glacier Blue, Basalt Black, and Dragon Crystal Purple.
Vivo has already confirmed that the Vivo Y500 will support 90W fast charging. As far as durability is concerned, it will have an IP68/69/69+ rated dust- and water-resistant chassis.
