Vivo has officially announced a brand new Vivo Y51s 5G mid-ranger smartphone in the Chinese market today. On the outside, the Vivo Y51s shares a utterly close resemblance to the Vivo Y70s and iQOO U1, but do have some minor changes when it comes to the internals.
For starter, the Vivo Y51s features a 6.53-inches FHD+ display which employs a hole-punched display to house its 8 megapixels seflie camera. There won’t be any in-display fingerprint sensor as the device will be equipped with a side-mounted one instead.
Over at the back, the Vivo Y51s has a triple-cameras array which consists of a 48 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
Under the hood, the device is driven by an octa-core Exynos 880 SoC which will be paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. As with the Vivo Y70s, the Y51s is also able to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes.
At the helm, the device packs a 4,500mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. As usual, it will run on the custom FuntouchOS 10.5 based on the Android 10 OS.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y50s will be offered in three different colorways including Black, White and Blue. It will be priced at 1,798 Yuan (US$256) for its sole 6GB+128GB model.
