Vivo has officially unveiled a new mid-ranger smartphone in the Chinese market known as the Vivo Y53s 5G. This came shortly after the company announced the Vivo Y70t in it’s home market last week.
For starter, the Vivo Y53s 5G sports a 6.58” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate. It comes with a dewdrop-notch upfront which is home to an 8 megapixels selfie camera.
On the opposite side, you’ll find an elongated camera island that houses a dual-camera setup comprising of a 64 megapixels main camera as well as a macro shooter for close-up shots.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y53s 5G is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 480 chipset which is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Other than that, it also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and runs on OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y53s 5G will be priced at 1,799 Yuan (US$281) and 1,999 Yuan (US$313) respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants.
