Vivo will soon be launching a new Y series smartphone in the Malaysian market known as the Vivo Y76 5G which gears up to be one of the most affordable 5G smartphone in the country. According to Vivo, the launch will take place in Malaysia on November 23rd next week.
In terms of design, the upcoming Vivo Y76 5G appears to share a close resemblance to the Vivo Y76s 5G that was recently announced in the Chinese market. While not officially confirmed, it’s possible that the Vivo Y76 5G may share largely similar specs as the latter as well.
Just a quick recap, the Vivo Y76s 5G features a 6.58” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calls.
At the back, it comes with a rectangular camera island which is home to a dual-cam setup comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera alongside a 2 megapixels macro camera to help with close-up photography.
Just like the newly announced POCO M4 Pro 5G, the Vivo Y76s is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset which will be coupled with 8GB RAM and and up to 256GB built-in storage that can be further expandable via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone draws power from a modest 4,100mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support. Aside from that, you also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11.
