Vivo is rumored to be working on a new smartphone that is speculated to release in September this year. The alleged specs of the smartphone have surfaced.
The mysterious Vivo phone is speculated to feature a 5.5-inch full-screen display. The display of this phone won’t be curved at the edges. The Snapdragon 660 chipset is expected to power this smartphone. The SoC is rumored to be coupled with 4 GB of RAM and a native storage of 64 GB. It will be loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. As it can be seen in the leaked image, the full-screen display has slim bezels on its left and right. The upper bezel has an earpiece, a selfie shooter and a sensor whereas the bezel present at the bottom is empty.
It is expected to come with a 12-megapixel camera on the rear and another 12-megapixel camera on the front. Equipped with breakthrough camera technology, the upcoming Vivo phone will make use of rapid focus feature to shoot better images. It is also speculated to feature an in-screen fingerprint reader.
Samsung and Apple have been struggling to incorporate the fingerprint scanner under the screen. However, Vivo has successfully managed to embed the fingerprint sensor under the screen by working with Qualcomm. The in-screen fingerprint scanner by Vivo was teased on an unknown smartphone at the recent Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2017.
