In December 2021, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro flagship phones in China. Last month, all three phones were made available in the global markets. Now, the company is gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 12 series in India. It appears that the lineup will include three models, such as the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12X Pro.
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi will be launching the Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12X Pro after the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which is expected to debut on April 12. He claimed that the 12X will feature the Dimensity 8100, while the Xiaomi 12X Pro will get the more powerful Dimensity 9000 SoC. As far as the Xiaomi 12 Pro is concerned, Brar said that it will be priced at Rs 65,000.
To recall, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 11X and Xiaomi 11X Pro smartphones in India. These devices were not made available outside the country. The Xiaomi 11X was the rebranded version of the Redmi K40, while the Redmi K40 Pro was rebadged as the Xiaomi 11X Pro.
It appears the Xiaomi 12X could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K50, which launched in China in March. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12X Pro could be a rebadged Redmi K50 Pro. In all likelihood, the Xiaomi 12X and 12X Pro may remain exclusive to the Indian market. The 12X may launch by the end of April or in May in India.
In related news, Xiaomi seems to be working on its premium flagship phone – the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Several reports have claimed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered smartphone will be launched in Q2 in China and global markets.
