A Xiaomi phone with model number 2112123AC was recently by China’s two major certification sites such as TENAA and 3C. The global edition of the same device with 2112123AG model number has also received approval from Europe’s EEC authority.
Reliable tipster Kacper Skrzypek has now shared an IMEI database listing of the 2112123AG Xiaomi phone. It reveals that the device will be heading to the global markets with the Xiaomi 12X moniker. Probably, it will land in China with the same moniker.
Tipster Mukul Sharma had recently claimed that a Xiaomi phone with Snapdragon 870 is in the works. He claimed that the device will be equipped with an impressive camera. It appears that the tipster may have been talking about the Xiaomi 12X handset.
Kacper claimed that the codename of the Xiaomi 12X is Psyche. While the device is expected to release in China and global markets, it appears that the Chinese manufacturer has no plans to release it in India.
Xiaomi 12X Specifications (Rumored)
The Xiaomi 12X reportedly measures 145.4 x 65.4mm and seems to house a 6.28-inch display. It may feature an AMOLED screen that will not only offer a Full HD+ resolution, but also a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10. The screen is likely to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner.
The 12X is expected to draw power from the Snapdragon 870. It is unclear whether it has a triple or a quad-camera unit, but it seems certain that it will feature a 50-megapixel main camera.
A recent report claimed that it has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging and 33W wireless charging. For selfies, it may feature a 20-megapixel front-facing camera. It is likely that Xiaomi may announce it as early as next month in China.
