Xiaomi is all set to unveil the Xiaomi 13 Ultra on April 18 in China. The device will be announced to the global market at the same time. A Chinese tipster has leaked detailed information on the cameras of the 13 Ultra.
Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship phone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, is set to boast an impressive rear camera system. Leaked details suggest that the phone will have four rear cameras, including a 50-megapixel IMX989 main camera, a 50-megapixel IMX858 telephoto camera, a 50-megapixel IMX858 periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel IMX858 ultra-wide lens.
The main camera will have a 23mm focal length with a variable aperture of f/1.9 and f/4.0, optical image stabilisation (OIS), and a 1x zoom. The telephoto camera will have a 75mm focal length with an aperture of f/1.8, OIS support, and 3.2x optical zoom.
The periscope telephoto lens will have a 120mm focal length with an aperture of f/3.0, OIS support, and 5x optical zoom. Finally, the ultra-wide lens will have a 12mm focal length with a 0.5x zoom.
This camera setup is expected to provide a wide range of focal lengths, allowing users to capture high-quality photos and videos from various distances and angles. The combination of high megapixel counts, optical image stabilisation, and Leica’s optimisations is also likely to result in sharp and clear images.
While there is no official word from Xiaomi about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s camera system, this leak has revealed what sort of photography and videography experience it will deliver. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra launch event will also see the arrival of other products, such as the Xiaomi Pad 6 series of flagship tablets and the Xiaomi Band 8 fitness tracker.
