In October, Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Phones featuring the new chip are expected to launch in November and December. It appears that Xiaomi may be the first brand to introduce a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone.
Based on a credible leak from Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is planning to launch the Xiaomi 14 series before the Double Eleven (Nov. 11) sales event in China. Hence, it appears that the Xiaomi 14 lineup may debut by early November. The tipster added that this accelerated release schedule is primarily attributed to the exceptional sales performance of the Xiaomi 13 series.
Normally, Xiaomi’s flagship series has a launch cycle of just over a year. However, this time, the two products in the Xiaomi 13 series achieved their sales targets in just 9 months, with the Xiaomi 13P already sold out on all platforms. Hence, it appears that the brand is all set to unveil the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro in November.
There are reports that the brand may also announce MIUI 15 and the Watch S3 smartwatch with LTE connectivity support alongside the Xiaomi 14 series. It is likely that the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will come preloaded with MIUI 15-based Android 14. The brand is also said to be working on the Xiaomi MIX Flip, a clamshell-style foldable phone. It seems unlikely that the device will be announced along with the Xiaomi 14 series.
Rumors are rife that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will debut in Q1 2024 and not in Q2 2024, as initially thought. There is a possibility that the MIX Flip may break cover along with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
