Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in April of this year. Like the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, the Ultra edition is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The latest leak, courtesy of tipster Wisdom Pikachu, has revealed key details about the 14 Ultra.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra to offer satellite connectivity.
As per leaked information, the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra is will feature support for satellite communication, marking a notable advancement in connectivity. Furthermore, Xiaomi has reportedly tested satellite communication capabilities on the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 as well.
Shifting focus to imaging capabilities, Xiaomi is adopting the LYT-900 as the primary camera, which comes with an enhanced variable aperture. This camera is likely to be available on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and MIX Fold 4. The leaker further claimed that all four lenses on the 14 Ultra will have a large apertures, catering to the preferences of photography enthusiasts who appreciate the advantages of substantial aperture sizes.
As per other reports, the other three cameras of the 14 Ultra will have the 50-megapixel count. These will include an ultra-wide lens, a telephoto macro camera, and a periscope telephoto unit. However, the names of the exact camera sensors are not available yet. The flagship phone is expected to house a 5,180mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
Reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra may go official in April. The same event is expected to see the arrival of the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro flagship tablets, which are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 8 Gen 2 chipsets, respectively.
