Today, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, released its third notebook in as many weeks. This Xiaomi 15.6-inch notebook is quite interesting because it is one of the cheapest Xiaomi notebooks far. The new Xiaomi notebook comes in three variants on the processor and RAM size. The i5/4GB/128GB+1TB/MX110 version is priced at 3999 Yuan ($582), i5/8GB/128GB+1TB/MX110 variant is priced at 4499 Yuan ($655) While the i7/8GB/128GB+1TB/MX110 model is priced at 4999 Yuan ($728). Official sale of these notebooks will commence on August 28.
Apart from the 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, this notebook comes with an NVIDIA MX110 2GB GPU. However, its main selling point is its full-featured keyboard (including digital keypad) which is designed for office duties. The new Xiaomi notebook uses a 15.6-inch HD anti-glare screen with a resolution of 1920×1080, a wide viewing angle of 178°, and a body thickness of 19.9mm. When available in a few days time, there will be deep gray and white options. In addition to the full-featured keyboard, the Xiaomi 15.6-inch notebook comes with a separate numeric keypad, scroll lock button, and dedicated functions keys. For connectivity, this notebook comes with a 3 in 1 card reader port, USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI port, 2 x USB 3.0, a Headset Jack, HDMI and many more interfaces. It is also equipped with a Dolby Audio built-in dual 3W speakers.
Heat dissipation is not an issue with this notebook. Xiaomi used a dual fan and dual air outlet design with a 2+2 heat pipe layout which ensures that the generated heat is properly dissipated and this laptop will not experience overheating problems.
